about
I wanted to see how far I could go with just a single monophonic synthesizer, in this case a Korg MS-20 mini. The aim was to use the synth to emulate orchestral instruments as far as possible. I chose the Mozart symphony no 40 in G minor simply because it is a favourite piece.
Each instrument in the orchestra is a separate track: eight first violins, eight second violins, six violas, six cellos, four basses, two oboes, two clarinets, two horns two bassoons and a flute. giving a total of forty one tracks.
